Ory Polis: Enterprise SSO and directory sync, live in days instead of months
Abstract
Ory Polis is enterprise SSO you can run yourself. Deployed on your infrastructure, on-prem, private cloud, or airgapped, it keeps your customers' authentication and identity data out of third-party clouds entirely. And it's a bridge, not another identity store: authentication is proxied to the IdP each customer already runs, translated from SAML or OIDC into the standard OAuth2 flow your application already speaks, with each customer's connections organized into their own organization entity. Customer IT admins onboard themselves through the admin onboarding portal, and SCIM directory sync provisions and deprovisions users as their directory changes.
For our customers, specifically the new enterprise SSO, provides a much better experience, and it's much more straight forward.
